The Konover Charity Classic Golf Tournament was established in 1999. Since its inception, the goal of the Konover Charity Classic has been to raise funds for children and their families, to bring a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. Previous beneficiaries of the tournament are the Food Allergy Center, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Konover Development Corporation is now pleased to be partnering with Boundless Playgrounds (www.boundlessplaygrounds.org), to raise funds for their local, regional and nation-wide efforts.

Konover’s affiliation with Boundless Playgrounds is nothing new. In 1996 Konover worked with BP’s founders to build the first ever playground for children of all abilities, called Jonathan’s Dream Playground (West Hartford, CT). It is our hope that funds raised through the Konover Charity Classic will go a long way in supporting the mission of Boundless Playgrounds…. “For every child, a place to play: Every child! Every ability! Everywhere!”

Through the generous support of Konover’s clients, vendors, architects, engineers, lenders, attorneys and other business partners, the Konover Charity Classic has raised nearly $500,000. We’re proud that the companies with whom we do business share our commitment to making life better for children. Because the most important thing we can build is a better community.
