Konover was founded in 1959 and quickly gained a reputation of integrity, dependability and fairness in its dealings with tenants, employees, clients, vendors and partners. Practically overnight, Konover grew into one of the largest and most successful privately held real estate companies in the country, offering full-service in-house resources including construction, property management, leasing, development, and a host of other services. For over 40 years the company built and operated over 13 million square feet of retail space, employing over 300 associates.
While still family owned, Konover Development Corporation is currently led by Jim Ainsworth, its President and Chief Executive Officer. The company now has a sharp focus on the development of sites for retail facilities throughout the Northeast, with an emphasis on New England.
